A few days ago, a method to bypass the protection AACS used on media HD-DVD and Blu-ray made much speak about it . The author of the BackupHDDVD software was based on CyberLink software to obtain the keys of coding related to the various films which it had succeeded in copying.
The Cyberlink software would have indeed the defect to make show through these keys in the memory system during reading. But this concern should be surely corrected with the next versions Cyberlink and future HD-DVD. we could not thus speak about broken protection in a complete and final way.
But if the possibility of copying certain films HD-DVD were checked successfully, by broking protection AACS, we cannot say the some with regard to Blu-ray. The format developed by Sony is not limited to only one protection, but it account three: the AACS (as on the HD-DVD), the ROMANIAN Mark and the BD+.
The ROMANIAN Mark, is a numerical invisible signature for the consumer, that only has the certified production machine tools BD-ROM will be able to produce. The ROMANIAN should mainly prevent the mass copy .
Lastly, the third and last protection named BD+. Thanks to the BD+, the Blu-ray hardware could be reprogrammed remotely to a platinum Hack which would seek to decontaminate the protections integrated into the format. The BDA (Blu-ray Alliance) affirms that only the modified machines will be reprogrammed, via Internet or reading of a recent BD-ROM which will require the update to be installed in order function.
The firm CRY (Cryptography Research Inc) which took part in the development of protection BD+, during the publication of BackupHDDVD, insisted on the fact that the Blu-ray format was far from to have lost in the war vs pirates.…

Specialists who work on behalf of computer maket clearly post their disappointement about the nearest arrival of hybrid hard disks (hard disks accompanied with Flash memory).
They are clearly disappointed by this technology as well in terms of performance as in terms of profit to the level autonomy for portable computers. These employees of Lenovo affirm that it will be more interesting to pass from 1 to 2 GIG read-write memory or to choose disc 7200 RPM (instead of disc 5400 RPM)than investing in a hybrid hard disk. They add that this disappointment should also relate to the technology INTEL Robson which aims at placing Flash memory on the motherboard .
Lenovo would continue to evaluate the potential of these solutions. But from a personal point of view, the authors of this news advise to make the dead end on the first generation of products hybrid or based on INTEL Robson. Only problem, no data quantified is communicated here to support these assertions. Difficult in this case to know if all this perplexity is justified or not. It will thus necessary still wait for the final opinion on these various technologies.

Well a long time after ATI, NVIDIA release finally official drivers for Vista in its final version. Compatible with the editions x86 and x64, these ForceWare 97.46 are certified WHQL and had already on Internet not officially two weeks ago, but without control panel.
According to NVIDIA, these ForceWare are far from being perfect, since only GeForce 6xxx, 7xxx, and Quadro FX and Quadro NVS are supported. . Available in several languages, these driver would have some problem with Antialiasing as well as SLI.
Besides, these driver propose Open GL support. Moreover, they support all protections of Vista (DRM and PVP-OPM).
The control panel makes finally its appearance. It integrates a video management category and TV, thus the support to HDMI is added even if NVIDIA specifies that there are no problems with this last.
