Intel today launched its latest platform high end standard known as Skulltrail. This configuration supports two Intel quad-core, eight core treatment, and several graphics solutions Multi-GPU ATI or NVIDIA (CrossFire or SLI, as option). The Intel motherboard D5400XS allow  to link up to four graphics chips simultaneously. The Intel D5400XS can also be equipped with two Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775.Each Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775 offers 12 MB of cache, their bus is running at 1600 MHz and four core at  3.2 GHz (frequency) . The Intel D5400XS also accepts memory type FB-DIMM, especially powerful. Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775  will be proposed for $ 1499 , while the price usually found on the motherboard Intel D5400XS is $ 649.The components of this platform will be sold separately. Several manufacturers will commercialize configurations equipped with this new platform : Among Armari, Boxx Tech, Digital Storm, Falcon Northwest, Maingear, Puget Systems, Scan, Velocity Micro, Vigor Gaming, and Voodoo Computers @ Xi.
