CEO company sun microsystems Jonathan Schwarz (Jonathan schwartz) reported the fact that into Sun has already been located the first model of expected processor rock. On it as it was planned, will be built the new servers sun niagara in the near future. Let us recall, Rock has 16- core (!) processor.  according to the preliminary data, this will be doubly more powerful solution than today's UltraSPARC T1, 1,2 GHz. Rock will be able to process simultaneously 32 flows. This processor will be able to work with the large memory volume  256 Tb. According to published data, Rock has 2395- contact pin (!)  processor, only 812 of which are used for real work, and rest 1514 answer for the power and other signals.
