Researchers from the Japanese university Kejo announced the development of technology, which will make possible to store information in DNA bacteria. For scientists it was possible to create artificial DNA, in the sequence of genomes of which were preserved the numerical data. Idea is not so new, as it may seem. In 2003 the developers of North Atlantic national laboratory USA declared about the fact that precisely the bacteria can become the practically indestructible data disk. Theoretically data can be stored until the organism of bacterium is living, and their separate forms are capable of surviving even nuclear explosion. At present the capacity of bacteria is completely limited; however, scientists believe that during one excellent day the microorganisms will help to store text, images, video, etc. |
